The fact that you can design or edit some character models is fantastic in itself. What I seriously loved about this game was that it had a bunch of quirks and cuteness to it. (I literally forgot who it was.) But let's get down to it.

It's also not a bad idea to have some herbalist potions on hand - a buff to movement speed or courage at the right moment can make a world of difference (especially if an enemy sneaks up on your workers while they're out clearing a Root of Evil.Ok, so it's been a long time coming, and the developers for this game have thusly been moved to other projects after being acquired by Ok, so it's been a long time coming, and the developers for this game have thusly been moved to other projects after being acquired by someone.

Like I said, if things get dicey then I rush the footmen in as backup once the enemies are aggro'd on the knight then the footmen are able to come in and drop their amazing DPS without worrying about getting hit back too often. For clearing portals I usually send 1 knight, 1-2 clerics, and as many archers as I can spare (this is purely to kill the portal as quickly as possible in the hopes a new wave doesn't spawn while I'm attacking it) if they come under attack then the knight tanks and the archers focus fire on the weakest/lowest health threats to thin their numbers. I like to use archers really aggressively in this fight, while footmen get saved as reserves since their higher movement speed allows them to swoop in when another hearthling is in trouble. If you find that your soldiers aren't making headway, it's likely a case that they need a little more management to complete their objective. So it's a matter of prioritising the closest and most dangerous threats so they can't overwhelm you - when there's a gap in attack waves, use that time to send out a party to close off a portal when there's a big wave coming at you then it's time to pull back and defend. If you don't deal with Roots, portals, various tentacles (I forget their proper name but there's a couple of flavours) and the like then they stack up and you get increasingly more issues to deal with. These are optional, so it's never worth putting workers at risk but if you send a couple of soldiers to clear out the area around the root it's then a simple matter to have the workers run out and deal with it. The other thing to be aware of is that while most of the things you'll want to do will involve killing the enemies that the Titan spawns, there are some non-combat tasks too such as destroying the Roots of Evil. However, even an archer at max level can take significantly more hits than a basic worker so as long as you keep the fighting to the actual soldiers you'll be fine on that front. Having a large military doesn't actually make the fight easier, although having a well-equipped and fully levelled one does - the enemies you'll face are (quite rightly) the toughest in the game, so it's more important to make sure that your soldiers can hold their own in battle since the swarm tactics that work so well in the early game kinda taper off when the enemies can down a (basic) hearthling in one hit. There are many things you could do to speed up damaging the titan, but ultimately it's a war of attrition whether you take the fight to it or you hold your defences and let it do its worst as it tries to overwhelm you. Follow Sasha's hints (particularly about food and stocking up on medical supplies, make sure you have beds available for treating wounded hearthlings quickly, etc.), and you shouldn't be caught off-guard. The main difficulty spike in the Titan fight compared to regular encounters is that it requires a fair bit of multi-tasking, and not just in the combat sense.
